Key Stage Two

Key stage two consists of Year 3 and 4 (lower key stage 2) and Years 5 & 6 (upper key stage 2). Throughout the key stage two years (Y3-Y6), the children learn to; write with flair, acquire mathematical skills and scientific knowledge that they will begin to apply in real life situations. The primary curriculum is a constructive, progressive, skills-based curriculum which allows children to build on what they know and learn new skills along the way. Key stage 2 will progressively become more complex without overwhelming the child. The children learn to code in IT, explore new languages such as French, Arabic and English and study topics involving History and Geography. By year 6 the children will have a firm foundation and strong skill set which will enable them to embark on their secondary school experience with ease. Transitional links between the primary and secondary departments and both Heads of Schools enables a smooth transition for all pupils in our care.
