PRINCIPAL

Ms. Kushwant Kaur Bains

Welcome to PACE British School, Sharjah.

It is a tremendous privilege to serve as Principal of a community that I have been proud to know and serve as Vice Principal. Having worked closely with our students, staff and families, I have seen firsthand the warmth, ambition and strong sense of belonging that make PACE British School such a special place.

With over 25 years of experience working in schools, my career has taken me across the United Kingdom, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, from the classroom through to senior leadership and headship. Throughout that journey, one belief has remained constant and sits at the heart of my leadership: children come first.

Every decision we make should begin with one question: Will this improve the learning, wellbeing and future opportunities of our students? We want every child to feel safe, known, valued and challenged to achieve their very best.

Our students, aged 3 to 18, enjoy a continuous educational journey from Early Years through to Sixth Form. Following the National Curriculum of England and Wales, students progress towards internationally recognised iGCSE and A Level qualifications, opening pathways to universities and future opportunities in the UAE, the UK and around the world. As a British Schools Overseas (BSO) accredited school, we are proud of our commitment to high standards of education, safeguarding and care.

High-quality teaching and learning are central to everything we do. Through high expectations, rigorous quality assurance and careful monitoring of progress, we continually strengthen classroom practice and ensure learning is engaging, challenging and purposeful. We want our students to be curious, creative and independent learners who take increasing ownership of their success.

I firmly believe that outstanding schools are built by outstanding people. Supporting, developing and empowering our staff is therefore one of my highest priorities. When our staff thrive, our children thrive. Equally important is our partnership with parents. Through openness, trust and mutual respect, school and home can work together to provide the strongest possible foundation for every child to flourish.

Education at PACE extends far beyond examination results. We want our students to become confident, compassionate, respectful and resilient young people, equipped with the knowledge, skills and character to succeed in an ever-changing world. We are proud to be a school in the United Arab Emirates, respecting and celebrating the culture, heritage and values of the UAE while nurturing inclusion, international mindedness and respect for the diverse community we serve.

My leadership is founded on visibility, integrity and collaboration. I believe in listening to our students, supporting our staff, engaging with our families and continually seeking ways to improve. We will celebrate our successes while remaining ambitious for what we can achieve next.

My ambition for PACE British School is clear: to build upon our strengths, continually raise expectations, strengthen outcomes and create an environment where every child is known, valued and empowered to flourish. We will remain ambitious for our students, our staff and our wider school community, always striving for excellence and ensuring that every student is prepared for the opportunities and challenges of the future.

Whether you are already part of our PACE family or are considering joining us, I warmly invite you to discover our school, meet our students and staff, and experience the community of which we are so proud.

Children first. Exceptional people. Strong partnerships. High expectations.

Together, we will continue Learning Today, Leading Tomorrow.
